The Black British demographic is severely underrepresented at senior levels in academia and there are very few Black Professors in the UK.

There is also a significant gender gap; of 23,000 Professors at UK universities, just 41 are Black women.
Exeter is one of 6 universities taking part in 100 Black Women Professors NOW, which aims to propel equity of opportunity for Black women academics, and to deliver a step change in progress for the sector.
